About

bloomin’ bucket is the story of a flower lovin’–bug chasin’–coffee drinkin’–spicy cookin’–hippie soul cultivating her way through life with as much knotty sass as possible!!

There are no rules. Directions are not necessary. We can go anywhere, at any time—so I did. After a 20-year plus career in academia as a college graphic design professor, I took another road to lean into something new: macramé. Well, it’s not new — I have been weaving since I was young. I have won awards with my weavings, even a college scholarship, but I didn’t pursue it for some silly @$$ reason. Nevertheless, I was constantly weaving and playing with fiber. And now? I am taking this passion and making it into a business!

Through my unique combination of artistic talent and professional expertise, I aim to establish myself as a true master of my craft. I am a testament to the power of creativity and hard work and an inspiration to anyone looking to follow their dreams.

I'm Vic Golden, a creativepreneur bursting with knowledge, ready to share.

Our goal at bloomin BUCKET is to share the love and passion for all things woven and be open with others on creating macramé and more. Although macramé was a massive hit in the 1970s, its history dates back to the 13th century. Arabic decorative weavers used knots to secure loose ends of woven textiles — rugs, clothing, or household items. Many believe “macramé” comes from the Arabic word migramah or “fringe.”

bloomin BUCKET combines ancient ways with modern ideas to create a functional macramé piece for any use. We always try to use a 100% recycled, sustainable cotton cord when designing our products and teaching our workshops, so you, as the customer, get the very best.

Come join us at a workshop or a market, or cruise around the shop to see all the goodies {or even order a few items!

Happy Vibes,

Vic

P.S. When you see me, ask me where our shop name, bloomin BUCKET, comes from and why BUCKET is in all caps!!
